- By fairly fractured, the adaptor means that Act one is not normal and it is broken into different parts. With fractured the Adaptor is trying to say that bad things happen in Act one but not so bad that the reader thinks that it is horrible. By fluid, the adaptor means that in act one the street voice are a good part of the play and together they flow really well and they all make sense together. The street voices also work very smoothly which shows that they have the power to do many things with those characters and they can make the scene very meaningful and strong.
- The Adaptor chose this narrative structure rather than a simple unfolding of chronological events because he wanted to present the play to the people as a story and he wanted to show them what feels like to face these challenges. He wanted it to be like a narrative so that it gives more in depth performance and it shows exactly how each character feels throughout the play and in each scene. With a narrative it is easy to also switch between scenes and show how each different scene contrast each other and how the main characters life went from really good to bad.

- The playwright includes two different voices for Martin in Scene 9 because the author is trying to show that even the wiser Martin is so shocked at the state he is in and the Present Martin is very scared and confused as he wants it to go away and he misses his old self. Another purpose for having the two Martin's is because the narrative Martin is with more experience and he has a different perspective on what happened whereas the Present Martin is facing all the pain and is very confused and is seeing how will adjust to his new situation in his life.
- With having the two Martin's, the audience would be able to see the two different perspectives the same character has on his life and how he see's it in two different way's. The two Martin's have a strong effect on the audience because they can experience the two voices that he has and what it feels like to have so many injuries on his face.
- If I was presenting the two Martin's on stage I would have the narrative Martin in a mirror facing the present Martin. As the scene continues I would then have the narrative Martin walk out of the Mirror and look at the present Martin while walking around him in circles. After that I would have the narrative Martin copy what the present Martin is doing while being shocked because that is him.
